Platform Goals
My platform for the next two-year term will be as follows:
1. Spend our district's money wisely and bring money into our classrooms
• Continue to tackle budget items, question spending, and take deep dives into the district’s operating expense.
• Address school district consolidation approaches due to budget challenges and decreasing enrollment.
2. Focus on student achievement and our picture of a graduate
• Improve test scores for all students by addressing the data reflected in our math and literacy scores.
• Provide options for measuring student success outside of testing- such as through trades, military service, and employment.
• Continue collaboration with our Special Services families and staff to best address the needs of our Special Ed students across the district.
3. Student behavior management
• Monitor our student behavior and discipline data to ensure the policy is being enforced uniformly across the district at all schools for all students.
• Address behavior problems plaguing the classrooms, such as apathy, disrespect and entitlement.
4. Foster a collaborative staff environment within the district:
• Create regular opportunities for staff to voice their concerns and considerations.
• Gather feedback from the school staff to understand Policy and Budget priorities.
• Advocate for continued staff recognition across the district.
• Align our administrators with our district vision for sustainable growth in a changing academic world.
